hello!

MY NAME IS MAHOGANY SIMONE SIMMONS

Mahogany Simmons is a visual artist from Douglasville, Georgia, whose work explores themes of Black beauty, love, and emotional depth. Blending fine art with psychology, she creates pieces that resonate both visually and emotionally. As a young Black woman, art became her language when words fell short a plays as a space where vulnerability, identity, and healing could coexist.

Her artistic practice is rooted in lived experience and personal growth. Through her development as a fine artist, she creates bodies of work that reflects both technical intention and emotional honesty. Her interest in psychology informs how she approaches storytelling, allowing her to translate complex inner experiences into powerful visual narratives.

In a society that often overlooks or silences the emotional realities of Black people, Mahogany intentionally creates space for expression and affirmation. She challenges the idea that strength requires suppression, instead encouraging emotional awareness and self-acceptance. Through her work, she reminds viewers that their feelings are valid, their stories matter, and healing is possible.
